CorSource is a technology consulting firm based in Portland, Oregon. We've built a solid business over the years, and as the President, I knew we needed a new approach on the journey to get to where we want to be. We had used other systems and frameworks before, but none were codified enough to really stick. A YPO connection introduced me to Dwight, and we started working together in October 2024.

We didn't have a consistent system to align our management team around where we were and where we were headed. We also lacked a real framework for accountability, not just at the leadership level, but cascading through the company. We had good people and a solid business, but we were running without the structure to make sure everyone was rowing in the same direction and owning their commitments as well as documenting and working through issues negatively impacting the business. The other systems used before did not stick because they lacked the rigor, framework, and employee buy-in to improve execution week after week.

When we first started, some members of the team were hesitant. Change is always hard, and asking people to commit to a new system takes trust. Dwight made a real difference there. He's direct, which fits our culture, and he ran EOS in his own business so he's not just teaching theory. He draws on real personal experience, and you can feel that in every session. On top of all that, he's just a genuinely good person who is invested in us and our success. That combination of being “straight with you”, while actually caring about the outcome, helped the team take the leap. Once we got going, we never really looked back.
The entire EOS framework has helped us, but a few tools have made an outsized impact. We were already doing weekly management meetings before EOS, so that wasn't new. What changed everything was the structure and flow of the Level 10 meetings. Same time commitment, different agenda and completely different results. The Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO) aligned the team around a shared vision, plan, and metrics. The Accountability Chart (A/C) surfaced structural issues with the team and their roles and responsibilities. Rocks gave us quarterly focus and accountability along with ensuring hard conversations were had about what really matters and can be accomplished. The Scorecard put real numbers in front of us every week so we could see issues before they became problems and celebrate positive traction. All in all, the system works because it provides discipline, keeps everyone on the same page, and eliminates any surprises. All team members know where we are and why we achieved success or fell short in some areas.
The one I'd call out specifically is IDS. Working through real issues together each week, identifying them, discussing them, solving them, has done more to align and connect our leadership team than anything else we've tried. There's something about sitting in a room working through an important issue together that builds trust and sharpens the team at the same time. Over time team members became more eager to share new issues and work through them.
What I didn't fully expect is how much the framework empowers people. It also takes a lot of the emotion out of running the business because you just follow the system. A great example is the Right Person, Right Seat (RPRS) tool. Decisions that used to feel tough and emotional become easier to process when you have a clear framework to work through them. You're not guessing or going on gut feel. You're following a process which provides clarity that gives everyone confidence in the outcome.
Dwight also does a great job coaching us on how to use the tools to their full potential. Having the tools is one thing, but getting the most out of them is where the real value comes from, and that is something Dwight does very well. EOS has a methodical process over two years which is time well spent and enables the team to learn and develop additional skills at every step, Within the first year the impact was noticeable and its gets between with every quarterly strategy session. -

Revenue is up. Profitability is up. But beyond the numbers, the leadership team is more aligned and more accountable than they've ever been. We have a shared language, a consistent rhythm, and a clear picture of where we're going. This has been successfully extended through the organization and ensures everyone is on board with the plan and rowing in the same direction to achieve well understood metrics. Dwight has been a great partner in helping us build that foundation.
