Ronk Brothers' Story

"My name is Brian Ronk, and I’m the owner of Ronk Brothers Heating, Cooling & Electrical. I first connected with Dwight through our shared industry, and over time, I developed a strong respect for his vision and the purpose behind how he ran his company.

I had heard about EOS years ago but never seriously pursued it. When Dwight became a coach and introduced it to me, it was actually my team that pushed me towards deciding it was worth pursuing. I don’t think I even realized how big our problem was."

Challenges

Before implementing EOS, I found myself operating as a necessary micromanager. My team gave me consistent feedback that I was stepping on their toes and not allowing them to fully own their roles.

Our leadership meetings were another major issue. They were repetitive, unproductive, and often turned into people talking at each other rather than working toward real solutions. While we were a successful company, we lacked alignment and clarity. The vision largely lived in my head, and I struggled to effectively communicate it in a way the team could truly buy into. This caused major frustration with my team.

Solutions & Process

Our first session with Dwight was a turning point. For the first time, our leadership team came together with real focus - defining our mission, core values, and building a clear, shared vision for the company.

The simplicity of EOS tools, combined with Dwight’s ability to guide conversations and keep us on track, created an environment where our team could communicate effectively and productively.

We began to develop a new way of working together. One where meetings had purpose, goals were clearly defined, and action items actually led to results.

One of the most impactful breakthroughs was understanding the roles of Visionary and Integrator. It helped both my General Manager and me recognize that our differences weren’t a source of conflict, but a strength. Instead of butting heads, we learned how to operate as complementary leaders on the same team.

Results

EOS has been a game-changer for our business. We’ve gone from a company that was doing well but felt scattered to a unified leadership team that is aligned, focused, and moving in the same direction.

Our meetings are now productive and results-driven. We set clear goals, follow through on action items, and hold each other accountable in a healthy way. Communication across the team has improved significantly. We now understand how to speak each other’s language and work better together.

Just as importantly, it’s made the work more enjoyable. There’s clarity, momentum, and a shared sense of purpose that simply wasn’t there before.
